Course Overview
The Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic is a computer-based English language test that assesses the speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills of non-native English speakers who want to study or migrate to English-speaking countries. It is widely accepted by universities, governments (including Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Canada), and professional bodies worldwide. The entire test is conducted on a computer in a secure test center and takes about 2 hours to complete. The PTE Core is a new English language test launched by Pearson in 2024. It is specifically designed for Canadian economic immigration and work purposes, approved by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Unlike PTE Academic, which focuses on academic English, PTE Core tests practical, everyday English skills needed for life and work in Canada.
